The purpose of this course is to provide base level knowledge of jewelry techniques. Your growth will be based on sequential learning steps with emphasis on developing basic techniques and skills. As the course progresses, you will explore soldering, cold connecting, fabrication, chain making, etching, enameling, casting, and other techniques, as time allows. Our goal is to create six to ten different projects. Each project requires you to plan, draw, and design before the piece is executed. Each project emphasizes a particular material, technique, or design problem. Projects will not be graded in a traditional manner, I will rely more on the planning and process, the journey than the end result.
